Quick Facts About Amanda

Call me a rebel if you want, but I’m not buying the lie that in order to change lives you have to break people down.
Nah.
I believe in building, not breaking.
My momma taught me to use my words -
So that’s what I do:
I build good things by sharing good words.
And I believe in the goodness in you...

Hello, I’m Amanda.
Small-town girl turned military-spouse roaming nomad who is determined to use my unique and challenging experiences to help the world around me. I consider myself a relentless advocate for your inner freedom.
After 20+ years of our family’s military service and living in different places around the world, trust me, I know the value of freedom…and I know that the best way to experience it is by living true to your own soul.
I’m the friend who dares to offer straight-talk kinds of words, filled with hopeful fire, all with the intention to inspire and empower you to embrace your beautiful gift of life, leaning in to who you were created to be.

I’m a mixed bag and I wear my heart on my sleeve.
Authenticity is my highest value, so you’ll see all different facets of me here:
∙the serious, fierce, fighter that I am
∙the quirky, crazy, laughs-at-my-own-jokes side of me
∙the tender, compassionate, deep thinker part of me…

words are my craft , hearts are my canvas

Meet the Founder:

Amanda Fellows

I believe

"The truth shall set you free."

The first step in living the fullest, deepest, most abundant life possible is to have the courage to live in alignment with your own soul.

Honesty with self breaks open the ground to grow authentically.

And this is the only place where wholeness can be found.

Freedom is found when you live with courage, as the person you were created to be.

courage makes way for freedom

A SIMPLE LIFE IS GOOD
FOR THE SOUL

Simplicity isn't necessarily simple.
Our modern world is filled with noise and obligations that keep us over-busy and unfulfilled.

Distractions abound.
It takes willingness and discipline to filter through these things in order to create the opportunity to live a life that's full in all the right ways.

Having lived the typical busy-American life and then breaking out of that mold, I can tell you - without a doubt - the simpler, less fragmented, more wholesome way of life is better.

Somewhere along the way we started believing that we needed to let go of the playful spirit we enjoyed as a child.

It's time to reclaim that part of who we are.

There are parts of who we are that can only come to life when we let go of "adulting" and just embrace the joy of play.

there is power in play

If personal development and growth were easy, everyone would be doing it.
They're not.

In order to grow, we need the guts to press into the uncomfortable parts of life when we don't know what we're doing or what the outcome will be.
At the same time, personal growth cannot happen without grace.
We'll all mess up and mis-step, but what we do after those moments is what changes everything.
Give yourself the grace to learn, move on, and grow stronger.

growth requires
guts & grace

I want to see you growing and blooming, living freely and fully right where you are.

I know the pressure of conforming to the world's opinions and expectations is heavy and loud. Even still, I believe you have everything it takes to break free from all that. I believe in who you were created to be. I believe in the goodness in you that's longing to change the world around you. I believe in leaving this world better than you found it.

AND SO, I offer these good words filled with a range of human hope and hype, as an offering to water your heart and mind, to cut through the noise of the world, to call you forth into all you were created to be, that you may live in freedom and bring others to it...
that you may live a life that outlives you.

good things grow where the ground gets watered

  read about my values

I've observed enough about life to learn there's truth in the statement: "You make a plan, then God laughs."

As a recovering perfectionist & over-planner, I've learned to hold each next chapter of life loosely. It's a delicate balance of holding fast to hopes and dreams, while at the same time trusting that there's beauty in the unknown.

This military brings offers twists and turns that I never had to navigate growing up in the same place my whole life. I'm learning to become "the master of the pivot," like I tell my kids, and to name ahead of time the things that truly matter... and then, to let the rest be.

No matter where life takes me, I will give it everything I've got to lead with love and leave each place better than I found it.

Who knows?!

where i'm going

At 19 I married this handsome guy, and almost 20 years later we're still going strong. I'm a proud Air Force wife, and as often goes with this military life, our family bends to the will of Uncle Sam. With that, wherever God tells the Air Force to send us, that's where I am!
I've felt the privilege and burden of making a home wherever we go.
I've had the blessing of seeing different ways of life and learning from all sorts of people. I've experienced the highs of living parts of my dream, and I've experienced the heartbreak of having to lay parts of it down because of the call of the military.
No matter what, I'm proud and grateful to do this life with the love of my life, and I count it a high calling to do my part while we're serving our great nation.

Riding shotgun with the love of my life

where i'm at

Born and raised in a small town in Michigan, I enjoyed the beautiful blessings of a hometown where everyone knew everyone. I lived my whole life in the same 2 bedroom ranch-style house that was filled with more love than it's walls could contain. I was raised to lived by the convictions of my heart; to care about the world beyond myself, and to stand up for what I believe in even when I was the only one standing.
I saw what it meant when people showed up in the darkest hours, just to be the light and bring the love.
My life has taken me far and wide from my hometown, but my heart will always find it's home in the places and people whose character is a reflection of the people and place who raised me.
