We tend to OVERvalue the big, huge, gestures and UNDERvalue the seemingly little things (which, ironically, are the very things that make the biggest difference).

A very dear friend of mine did something so incredibly thoughtful for me and it ended up inspiring this podcast episode.

Of course, head on over and take a listen ;)

But in the meantime, I just want to say how much value there is in the little things in life.

I think we tend to OVERvalue the big, huge, gestures and UNDERvalue the seemingly little things (which, ironically, are the very things that make the biggest difference).

My girl knew I was going through some schtuffff… and – to my delight – I had found a little, unexpected package in the mail. Inside, a simple item – a token to remind me to know when set some stuff aside and “breathe” a little. 😉

It got me thinking about how much I value her and the incredible way our friendship has shaped my life.

A good friend takes the time to show up in ways that only love does, especially with the little things.

Just like little seconds add up to full days, little
gestures add up to a big, meaningful impact.

The littlest of things can make people feel seen and known and valued.

It’s easy to get caught up in our own problems & pitfalls and forget about the hurting hearts beyond our own.

Sometimes the remedy that leads to our own healing is being for someone what we wish someone would be for us.

Show up.

Listen first.

Let them be human – quirks, crazy, and all.

Simply put: be a good friend.

Don’t ever discount the difference you can make by doing the little things.

And – by the way – when someone is a good friend to you, tell them how much you appreciate them.

We all need a little love & to feel seen.

  • K – go do that right now… love on your friend. 💛
